Under 3,000 m, short days, well-marked forest trails. No experience needed. Kheerganga sits here.
Moderate
Up to about 4,300 m with one long pass day, snow patches and river crossings. Fit beginners manage well. Sar Pass and Hampta Pass sit here.
Difficult
Above 4,500 m with glaciers, ropes, technical snow and multiple days at altitude. Previous high-altitude experience required. Buran Ghati and Pin Parvati sit here.
